Objective

The programme aims to lead the pre-school teacher to become a trained and certified pre-school teacher with three

identifiable qualities.

The trained and certified pre-school teacher is capable of working with young children affectively.

Effectiveness in bringing about learning in a pre-school setting.

They are able to implement the National Pre-School Curriculum, i.e. NPC under the supervision of trained and qualified curriculum leaders.

Be a trained and qualified pre-school teacher, preparing for the care and teaching of kindergarten children from ages four to six.

• Acquire a range of experiential modes of teaching.
• Learn the Thematic Integrated Childcentered (TIC) Methodology for the implementation of the National Pre-School Curriculum.
• Learn observational skills and techniques.
• Personal Development in the target teaching language, art, craft, music and societal concerns.
• Undergo a four-week teaching practice.
